An early 20th century Chinese export silver three-piece tea service, Shanghai circa 1910 retailed by Luen Hing
Qing / Republican period. Comprising a teapot, milk jug and twin handled sugar bowl. The globular bodies raised upon spreading circular feet, each with a loop handled simulating bamboo. The teapot with leaf capped bamboo style spout opposite a similar handle with pinned turned ivory insulators. The hinged domed lid surmounted by a fixed cast finial formed as an overturned root. The bodies decorated with cast and applied flowering prunus trees. Each marked underneath with LH90 and with artisan mark 敔記 (YU JI, the workshop of Yu). (3)
