Chinese Pith Paintings.- A pair of pith paintings, one depicting a group of 6 people one a possible messenger with a horse speaking to an official and attendant overlooked by two other people, all in contemporary dress, framed and glazed, slight stain to upper right corner otherwise in fine condition; another group of 6 people depicting a man carrying an ornamental 'axe' over his shoulder, pointing and speaking to two well-dressed women overlooked by another woman and child, all in contemporary dress, glazed and framed, stain to upper right-hand corner, images 190 x 290mm, n.p., n.d. [c.19 century]; together with two floral pith paintings, slightly stained, framed and glazed, approx. 180 x 120mm n.d. (4)
