A late 19th century Chinese Export silver card case, Shanghai circa 1900 retailed by Leeching
Of rectangular form with rounded edges. One side with embossed decoration of aquatic life such as turtles, goldfish, crabs, and lobster all among shells and seaweed, the obverse with an embossed scene of bamboo populated by three birds. The edges with chased bamboo, the corners with rosettes and the top of the pull off lid with a vacant oblong cartouche. The interior sheath marked LC only.
