A late 18^th century Maltese silver scent flask (balsamina), circa 1790-1800 by Saverio Satariano (reg. 1789)

Of faceted tapering cylindrical vase form, upon a pedestal square foot, the hinged domed lid surmounted by a small finial, angular twin handles with a belcher chain attachment. Marked to the foot with obscured assay mark and maker’s mark SS (Farruggia 173).
