After Leng Mei (Qing Dynasty) (1669 – 1742) Aliases: Jinmen Huashi, Jichen

A scroll, mounted and framed, ink and colour on silk depicting a Chinese lady holding aloft an upturned basket of flowers as they tumble to the floor, she standing below the sun and stylised clouds, dressed in a skirt decorated with cranes in flight and a robe with peacock feather fringe, her hair dressed with flowers and a golden eagle hairpiece suspending pearls.
