Spanish atlas.- Canalias (Ana) ‘La Profe’ & Simó (Maria Ros)

A volume of twenty-one manuscript maps, each signed by both and labelled ‘La Profe’, featuring autonomous communities, Islands, North-West African coast, and two full maps of Spain, ink and coloured pencil, with tissue guards, some spotting, cloth binding, oblong 4to, Girona, 1919.

***Ana Canalias Maestros (1886 - ​​1934), also known as Agna Canalias, was a Spanish teacher and writer. Her poetry publications in support of Catalanism brought attacks from staff at the School of Madrid, whilst she also wrote articles on pacifism and women's suffrage.
