The ivory field divided to two compatments containing hooked panels enclosing rust and blue large indented panels with similar hooked panels enclosing hexagon floral centerpiece. Open shaded brown border with S-motifs and hooked hexagons. Serrated lozenge and hooked panel skirt at each end, approx: 4ft.5in. x 3ft.5in.(135cm. x 104cm.) Very nice example for this type. Unusual rug size, seldom found in the sales. Nicely drawn design and good colour combination. Ends with short fringes, slightly fraying edge at one of them. Selvages with small localized fraying. Touches of wear in few places. In general this kilim is in good usable condition. Backed with canvas, sawn on edges. Attractive piece.
