An early 20th century Chinese Export silver coffee pot, Canton circa 1910 retailed by Chong Woo of Hong Kong
Qing dynasty, of baluster form with a bamboo modelled curved spout opposite a bamboo modelled handle set with ivory insulators pinned to sockets. The hinged domed lid surmounted by a detachable bamboo modelled finial with flat chased bamboo leaves. The body with cast and applied decoration of bamboo leaves with rocky outcrops, heightened with flat chased leaves. Marked underneath CHONGWO, 90, Hong Kong and an obscured artisan mark, possibly HOU TAI 厚泰.
