A HARDSTONE TLALOC HEAD,GUATEMALA Circa 8th - 10th Century A.D. Representing the rain god, with an elongated face, the mouth indicated by a linear incision, surmounted by the large protruding domed nose, with incised circular eyes and a heavy brow, old collection labels survive on the reverse, 10.2cm high.  Provenance: French private collection.
