An early 20th century Chinese Export silver coffee pot, Shanghai circa 1910 retailed by The China Jewellery Company

Qing dynasty. Of baluster form with a curved spout modelled as bamboo opposite a modelled bamboo C scroll handle fitted with ivory insulators pinned to sockets. The hinged domed lid surmounted by an affixed bamboo modelled finial. The body with embossed decoration of a trailing Chinese dragon with applied wirework whiskers, the centre with a vacant circular cartouche forming the pearl of wisdom, all against a matted ground. The lid also with an embossed trailing Chinese dragon reserved the same. Marked underneath C.J.Co and SILVER.
