A GERMAN POTTERY PLATE, PROBABLY 18TH CENTURY, decorated to the centre with a satyrican scene of a dog riding a horse holding a flintlock pistol and flanked by flowering plants, dated 1784, the rim with a band of flowers and a motto, the reverse decorated in colours to imitate marble or agate
