Opaque pigments on paper, the vertical composition depicting Lord Ganesha seated cross-legged on a lotus, with a golden halo and clad in gem-encrusted and caparisoned golden jewellery, flanked by his consorts Riddhi (prosperity), entertaining the god with the sitar; and Siddhi (spiritual power), fanning him with a peacock feather fly-whisk, his faithful vahana (vehicle) Mus depicted in front of the throne eating a laddoo, his Lord's favourite treat, framed within scrolling floral borders on a cream ground, mounted, glazed and framed, 39.5cm x 32cm including the frame.
