Decorated to the front with finely-worked medallions enclosing figurative scenes, vases bearing colourful flowers, foliate sprays and butterflies hovering over clusters of ripe fruit over crashing polychrome lishui waves, all on an ivory-coloured ground, the border decorated with vibrant peony blossoms interspersed with the bajixiang stitched with gilt-couched thread on a dark ground, the blue-ground collar dotted with wild orchids and butterflies, the reverse similarly decorated
