FIRST ENGINE EMPLOYED ON A PUBLIC RAILWAY AND THE PIONEERS, 1873, subjects include the portraits of George Stephenson (1781-1848), Edward Pease (1767-1858) and Fra Mewburn (XX), together with two newspaper editorial articles. Albumen prints (8), image size, approx. 285 x 185mm, 85 x 50mm, mounted and framed under glass, mount size, 655 x 545mm, with typed titles, handwritten descriptions in ink, signed by the pioneers, dated in ink lower margin.
