A SILVER SURAHI BOTTLE WITH A PEACOCK STOPPER

Of typical pyriform shape, resting on a splayed circular foot, rising to a tall tubular neck with an embossed circular rim, surmounted by a conical stopper with a peacock's finial attached to the neck with a silver chainlet, the repoussé decoration on the exterior consisting of alternating diagonal bands filled with fish-scale motif and foliate scrolls, each decorative frieze interspersed with a narrow band with stylised palmettes, unmarked, 32.2cm high.
