A set of four late 18th century reverse painted glass buttons, probably French circa 1770 Each of circular form with a reverse painted concave glass front set against a wax disc, showing scenes of classical architecture including ancient ruins of temples / colonnades and figures upon pedestals, in gilt copper mount with tin reverse and pin shank. (4) Diameter – 3.75 cm / 1.5 inches
