A Arriflex BL4s Evolution 35mm Cine Camera

Body: VG signs of normal use

Motor: working

Note: From the estate of DOP Kelvin Crumplin, founder of Multivision 235 Pty ltd. This camera has 2 perf movements and has been adapted with PS Technik viewfinder systems with video assist.

Multivision 235 is a revitalisation of the 1960s and 70s Techniscope system. In the 20 years that system was in place, some 400 films were shot using this fantastic format. Some titles that may be remembered include "Alfie", "The Ipcress File", "A Fistful of Dollars", "The Good the Bad and the Ugly", "Once Upon a Time in the West", America Graffiti", and "THX 1138". Laterly, James Cameron filmed the underwater scenes in Titanic using the 2 Perf system. With the advantages of modern film emulsions and sharper lenses, Multivision 235 offers filmakers huge savings as the format allows you to shoot twice as much footage on the same amount of film with no loss in quality. Multivision 235 over a period of six years designed and modified a fleet of ten cameras to shoot 2 perf 35mm film. The camera models chosen for these modifications were Arriflex and Moviecam models. The modifications can easily be removed in order to shoot 4 perf.
