A RARE 19TH CENTURY IRISH MAHOGANY COCK FIGHTING / READING CHAIR ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAMS & GIBTON
with carved and pierced yoke rail centred by a cross leaf design, with an under-seat drawer below, raised on cabriole legs over hoof feet concealing fully swivelling castors, with carved decoration to the tops of the legs, and fitted with ox blood leather,
seat height 41cm, seat depth 50cm.
Provenance: From a private collection, Ireland. Previously sold on 1st September 1922, with original invoice marked 'House Sale', sold then as by Williams & Gibton.
