A pair of early 20th century French 950 standard silver ewers, Paris circa 1910 by Charles Tirbour (est. 1897)
each in the Regence style, of eight-sided panelled everted form upon a compressed reeded knop with a spreading circular foot. The handle terminating in a cast and chased satyr’s head backed with an acanthus leaf. The body and foot with flat chased decoration of strapwork scrolls and stylised leaf forms, some reserved with lattices. Marked throughout. (2)
