An early 20th century Persian (Iranian) unmarked silver snuff box, Isfahan circa 1900-1920
Qajar dynasty, of rectangular book form with a hinged lid. The lid with engraved ghalam zani decoration of musicians, one playing the barbut, reserved with rosettes. The reverse with a courtly Safavid scene of musicians and libation drinkers. The spine with nightingales among foliage (golo- bolbol), the sides with foliage.
