A pair of embroidered wall hangings, the grounds a profusion of coloured silks, heavily worked in metallic thread wound around a silk core with a stylised Cyprus tree containing greetings in Arabic, elaborately worked in scrolling designs, the border with Arabic pseudo-lettering, the lower register with a geometric grid design. 251cm x 59cm.
