Artist Description:
Finneran is influenced by post-minimalism and uses geometric abstraction as a key element within his work to explore the consistent objectification of his paintings. The artist uses techniques such as blurring and layering to crop and restrict the various human features. The traditionally formed frame is non-existent in Finneran’s canvases as he pushes beyond limitations of a painter committed to the legitimacy of his medium.
