The heavily cast gilt-bronze figure in the form of a recumbent mythical beast, with a forward facing head with a ferocious expression, with a prominent curved horn with furry mane running down the neck and protruding spine, ending in a trifurcated tail, the base bearing a da ming wanli nianzhi six-character mark, with wood stand.
