Rolex 'Skyway Hotel' Advertisement Lighter, circa. 1950s

The metal and poly-chrome lighter is of tapering rectangular shape and round edges, a high-shine finish on either end with a brushed-steel effect on the body, completed with blue enameled writing; measuring 5.5cm x 4.2cm.

This lighter is a product of popular advertising campaigns using Rolex lighters in the 1950s whereby businesses advertised themselves as well as their location using the front and back of the lighter.
Skyway Hotel, London Airport, England, Skyport 6311, was an iconic hotel in its day defining itself as the premier hotel for world travelers.
