An early 20th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver twin handled tray, Karachi circa 1910

Raj period, of elongated octagonal form with a pierced cavetto edge and a chased rim simulating bamboo with twin handles. The field with vacant rectangular cartouche edged with acanthus leaves, flanked by two hexa-lobed and two quatrefoil vignettes with chased interlaced foliate acanthus scrolls in the Cutch style, with rosettes edged with beading, all reserved the same. The pierced edge of foliate scrolls and rosettes. All raised on four scroll bracket feet with chased acanthus leaves and beading.

Weight – 1454 grams / 46.75 ozt
