A pair of late 19th century Ottoman Turkish 900 standard silver wine goblets, circa 1890 Tughra of Sultan Abdul Hamid II (1876-1909)
Each of circular form upon detachable screw thread pedestal stems with spreading circular feet. The bowls with engraved decoration of birds amidst foliage, and an open scroll cartouche reserved with C scrolls and foliage, each engraved with initials in cypher. The feet similarly engraved with foliage. Each marked to the base and side with tughra and sah mark (post-1844), two assay scrapes to the interior of bowl and underside of feet to each. (2)
