PAIR OF GEORGE IV PEWTER CORONATION SAUCE BOATS
produced by the top pewter specialist of the day, Thomas Alderson, 1820, and originally part of a pewter service made for the royal coronation banquet of George IV, held in Westminster Hall on 19th July 1821, each sauce engraved with a GR IV cypher to the body, raised on an oval base, with impressed “Alderson” marks to base, 11cm wide, 18.5cm deep, 14cm high.
