A mid- 18th century French enamel and silver mounted snuff box, Paris 1753, makers mark obscured  With discharge mark of Julien Berthe. Of cartouche form decorated with raised gilt enamel of trailing flowers to the lid and base as well hounds in pursuit of prey to the sides, all against a yellow speckled ground. The reeded silver mount with plain thumbpiece. Length – 8.3 cm / 3.25 inches
