Note: Peter Nelson (1928-2009) started out his professional career in the 1950’s by designing and manufacturing cast aluminum passenger aircraft models. His attention to detail and high quality of finish earned him prominent clients like BOAC, Canadian Pacific and TWA. Steered by his interest for lighting design and engineering Nelson founded Architectural Lighting in 1961. Nelson has designed a wide range of lighting fixtures, mostly executed in his material of choice: aluminum. Already in the 1960’s his sophisticated minimalist designs found their way to upmarket London shops like Habitat and Heal’s.
