An early 20th century Burmese unmarked silver bowl, probably lower Burma, circa 1920
Of rounded circular form, the body with high relief embossed figures of jataka scenes in shaped vignettes, interspersed with foliate scrolls. Chased bands to the upper section and a band of stylised acanthus leaf within architraves to the lower section. The underside with a flat chased maker’s symbol of a flower head.
