A QAJAR SILVER-INLAID CEREMONIAL AXE (TABAR) Iran, late 19th - early 20th century Made of steel, the axe head shaped as a crescent moon and decorated on both sides with silver-inlaid polylobed cartouches filled with flowers and vegetal spray, the silver inlay present on the shaft and pointed tip in the form of vegetal motifs and lattice work, 75cm high.
