A LARGE TINNED COPPER CIRCULAR TRAY
Iran, late 19th - early 20th century

Of circular shape, with an everted lobed rim, the decoration chased in relief and consisting of a central rosette-shaped medallion filled with a pair of peacocks and lively birds amidst vegetal sprays and meanderings, scrolls of stylised lotus flowers spiralling in the background, further vegetal motifs, arabesques and palmettes on the rim and outer edge of the tray, 59.5cm diam.
