English Indenture, Early 17th Century

Indenture on vellum, being a contract of sale between Peter Benson and John Wythers for four houses near All Hallows Church on London Tower Hill, with the seal of a George Smythe, apparently a civil servant, and signed by Wythers below the text, also with signatures of the witnesses, namely Smythe, the Bailiff (Reeve) Robert Freeman and William Manly, one page, parchment with a small crease in the lower left corner, otherwise in excellent condition, folio, London, August 26, 1611.
