Of rectangular form with panels of engine turned decoration to the base and sides, surrounded by heavy, cast floral borders. The lid embossed in high relief with a depiction of George Henry Harlow's 1817 painting 'The Trial of Queen Katherine', based on Act II, Scene iv of John Philip Kemble's production of William Shakespeare's Henry VIII, featuring Sarah Siddons as Catherine of Aragon, and her brothers John Philip Kemble, Charles Kemble and Stephen Kemble as Cardinal Wolsey, Cromwell and Henry VIII respectively.
