A William IV antique sterling silver gilt vinaigrette, Birmingham 1834 by Nathaniel Mills Of rectangular form with curved corners, the lid with flush hinge. The lid and base decorated with chased repeating floral motifs bordered with foliate scrolls, with central cartouche inscribed in cursive script H to MM. The edges similarly chased with floral motif’s. A suspension loop applied to slide. The gilt interior with hinged pierced grill of foliate scrolls. Fully marked to the base flange, and makers mark only to the grill. Length – 4.5 cm / 1.75 inches Weight – 41 grams / 1.32 ozt
