A THEODORE DECK IZNIK-STYLE POTTERY DISH
France, mid to late 19th century
Of circular shape resting on a short foot, with a gently everted rim, painted in cobalt blue, manganese purple, green, turquoise, and black on white ground, the decoration consisting of rosette stems, a central Chinoiserie motif, and stems of stylised hyacinths and tulips spraying from a tuft of greens and rosettes, the border alternating tulips and turquoise rosettes, the back marked in red letters reading 'T. H. DECK', 24cm diam.
