An early 20th century Burmese unmarked silver bowl, Rangoon circa 1910 possibly by Maung Po Kin (active 1890-1910)
of circular form, the body decorated with embossed figures riding horses and elephants in a battle scene near a walled city, all between bands of stylised acanthus leaves, engraved initial underneath M.P.K.

Maung Po Kin won the silver medal at the 1902-3 Indian Art Exhibition in Delhi, Maung Yin Maung took the gold medal. For an image of the maker in a group see 'Modern Burmese Silver', by H.L.
