A COLLECTION OF CHINESE CANTON PAINTED ENAMEL WARES
Qing Dynasty, 18th - 19th Century
清十八至十九世紀 廣東銅胎畫琺瑯器一組
Comprising a set of six blue-ground wine cups housed in a silk-lined case and sat atop individual stands, a slightly larger blue-ground 'double happiness' cup with associated quatrefoil stand, a quadrilobed dish painted with four bats flying amidst flowers issuing from leafy stems and encircling a shou medallion, a tea caddy painted with coastal landscape scenes dotted with figures, dwellings and foliage with accompanying inscriptions, another caddy painted with scholars and attendants in woodland clearings and groups of deer gathered besides clusters of lingzhi, a pair of small oval dishes decorated with ripe peaches, pomegranates and finger citron amidst blossoms and leafy stems, the bases with two-character marks and housed in a fitted box, a wine pot painted with panels enclosing scenes depicting scholars and their boy attendants in nature settings, the base with a sprig of lingzhi painted in blue enamel, and another wine pot painted with a pair of long, ferocious dragons flying amidst polychrome clouds on a yellow ground
