A PAIR OF KASHMIRI WOODEN VASES Kashmir, North India, 20th century  Of bulbous shape, on circular flat foot, with flared neck, the wheel-turned and carved urns painted in bright colours with Pishachas (demonic creatures) with near-identical iconography, in symmetrically intertwined compositions with tigers supporting the enthroned Demon King against intricately decorated ground, the handles in sinuous sea-monster shapes, 22cm x 17cm.
