A late 18th century / early 19th century French unmarked silver and shagreen vanity patch box (boite à mouches), circa 1790-1810
Of rectangular form, the silver edges with bright cut engraved decoration. The interior with two hinged lids engraved with musical trophies and a mirror. The lid inset with a miniature painting on ivory. Also, with a green stained ivory brush.
