Two Victorian antique sterling silver vinaigrettes, Birmingham 1883 and 1853 by Hilliard &Thompson One of shaped rectangular form with waisted sides and flush hinge. Suspension loop to lid. Engraved decoration throughout of strapwork, ivy and foliate scrolls, and a vacant shield shape cartouche to the front. Gilt interior with hinged pierced grill of foliate scrolls and flower heads. Fully marked to lid and part-marked to base interior. Together with another vinaigrette (1853), of shaped rectangular form, with waisted sides and flush hinge. Engraved decoration throughout of foliate scrolls. Inscribed to the lid ‘SEKW 1st May 1871’. Gilt interior with hinged drilled grill engraved with foliate scrolls. Marked to base and lid interior.
