An early 20^th century Chinese export silver box, Canton circa 1930 by Tong Li

Of rectangular form with a hinged lid. The sides with embossed decoration of panels of peonies with birds or bamboo or flowering prunus. The lid with a bird upon a peony, all against a ring punched ground, reserved with a scalloped frame. Marked underneath with artisan mark only 同利 (TONG LI).
