A mid-20th century Persian (Iranian) silver ice bucket, Isfahan circa 1950 mark of Bagher Parvaresh (c.1910-1978, master 1928)
Pahlavi dynasty. Of tapering cylindrical form with a chased monabbat-kari and engraved ghalam zani decoration of arabesque cartouches within shaped vignettes reserved with arabesques and foliage, all with a ring punched and matted ground. An opposable swing handle similarly engraved. The bucket underneath with workshop mark باقر پرورش and standard mark (۸۴), an additional partially struck retailer’s mark, the tongs with different workshop mark and standard mark (۸۴). (2)
