A late 19th century Anglo – Indian silver milk or cream jug, Cutch, Bhuj circa 1880 by Oomersi Mawji (active 1860-90)
Raj period, of rounded helmet form upon an applied moulded foot. The scalloped rim with pouring lip leading to a cast and chased serpent handle formed as a cobra. The body with panels of deep chased decoration of foliate scrolls with rosettes, separated between beaded edges, all above a band of acanthus leaves. Marked underneath O.M BHUJ encameo.
