Autograph letter signed ('Louis L. Bonaparte') to his uncle Le Comte de Leu, in French, reading "I have just seen my uncle Joseph who keeps well. You asked if I have any news about my aunt and Madame de Villneuve who are much better. I have heard nothing new about my cousin's business, we just know that he has gone to Switzerland. I have heard no more talk about a duel, it is widely said that Vouchain does not care very much about fighting. The weather in Florence in mild, I hope it may improve again in Pisa", one page, address leaf postmarked Firenze and dated 22 November 1842, remains of red wax seal, Bibliotheca Lindesiana collector's stamp on front page, 4to, Florence, 17 November 1842.
