A late 19th century Indian Colonial silver christening mug, Calcutta circa 1880 by Cooke and Kelvey

Of cylindrical form with an applied moulded rim, all upon a cavetto foot with beaded rims. A shaped cast handle with cartouche section, the body with engraved bands of Greek key. Gilt interior. Marked underneath COOKE & KELVEY, CALCUTTA and a lion’s head cabossed.

Height – 8 cm / 3.1 inches
