A WEST AFRICAN BOAT SHAPED GAME BOARD For playing the game Mancala, in the form of a long shallow boat, standing on a pedestal foot, with two rows of six dimples running the length of the board, surrounded by incised decoration, 54cm long. Provenance: Property of an important private UK estate.  Footnotes: One of the oldest games in existence, Mancala has been played in various forms from as early as the 2nd Century A.D. Game boards have been discovered across the Middle East and West Africa.
