Opaque pigments, ink, pencil, and white wash on paper, a full-length vertical portrait of a female tambourine player at the Qajar court, wearing a long light blue skirt with a red and white striped termeh jacket, her tall tapering hat reminiscent in shape of the male aristocrats' kaj kolah enhanced in red with termeh fabric matching her jacket, painted in a typical palatial interior on a red carpet with golden vegetal trellis, mounted, glazed and framed, 35cm x 28.5cm including the frame.
