λ AN INDIAN FAN WITH IVORY HANDLE
India, late 19th - early 20th century
Of typical shape, with a tubular carved ivory handle incised with thin parallel lines, with a bulging ring towards the top, the fan made of interwoven dried palm leaves, creating a diamond-shaped pattern in the centre, the handle 39cm high.
