An early 20th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver footed bowl, Karachi or Bombay circa 1920

Raj period. Of rounded circular form with a scalloped rim upon a domed circular foot. The body with embossed decoration of hill village pattern, depicting traditional buildings, bridges, all against trees and sunrises, reserved within shaped architraves. The scalloped rim above a plain convex section, with chased small buildings and field scenes, one showing a steam train upon rails. The domed foot with a chased band of stylised acanthus leaves.
